I loved the course so so much. Maayan, you are truly a treasure!! Even on days where I was not feeling my best, I knew coming to Hebrew class would cheer me up since I was learning practical words and phrases I could use in daily life.I loved the course and I really hope this is the beginning of my journey to Hebrew fluency. תודה רבה חברה ❤️ The learning materials were great. Their primary strength is how user-friendly they are and I love how can they be used independently, or with a teacher. The lessons also had exercises to make sure I was retaining vocabulary and grammar structures which was really helpful. And lastly, though I didn’t utilize the podcast very much, I know it’s a great resource and I look forward to using it to test my listening comprehension in the future. It was wonderful. Maayan is a joyful and smart person. Her pedagogical framework was easy to navigate and good for college students. Being taught by Maayan was the highlight of my summer! Having a teacher with an exceptional attitude makes learning a foreign language easy.
Maayan is first and foremost an incredibly creative teacher. The custom curriculum which she created for our fellowship was relevant to the fellows, involved lots of original ways to teach and kept our fellows engaged and enjoying their learning. The best testament to this is that a larger percentage of the fellows continued learning with Maayan beyond the Ulpan period designated by the program and some are still learning with her after having finished the fellowship. They found her teaching materials and style to be engaging, fun and very relevant to their experience in Israel. In addition to her creativity and strong curriculum building skills, Maayan is also extremely personable and has strong interpersonal abilities. I have never seen a teacher who was unanimously loved by all of her students. They quoted her and even used some of her language teaching methodologies when they themselves were teaching English. Lastly – as an employer, Maayan is a pleasure to work with. She is professional, very reliable, responsive and proactive. I loved that from the very first lesson we were practicing speaking, so every class was incredibly engaging and fun. The course was structured in a way that even as the grammatical concepts became more complicated it was never overwhelming for me, because everything we learned built upon what we had already studied. I thought the learning materials were excellent, it was very helpful to have the audio, podcasts and the written text. The material also touched on aspects of Israeli culture that helped me to understand Israel better. The materials are very clear which made it possible for me to advance quickly! Rebecca Gates

Time and time again I have witnessed individuals who start studying with Maayan very speedily improve their confidence and skill-sets in spoken language, as well as in reading and writing skills. They unquestionably improve and advance at a pace which is way beyond the standard progress rates for students of Hebrew in traditional ulpan settings. My assessment is that this is due to a number of factors: - Maayan’s unique teaching style and pedagogy, and the particular methodology of the work-books and exercises she has created. - Maayan’s enthusiastic personality and dynamism that energize students into wanting to come back for more. - Maayan’s communication style with the institution responsible for sending the students – she is highly committed to keeping us informed on both the progress of her students as well as any challenges that they may be facing. A truly holistic approach. - Maayan’s sense of humor. I am convinced that this is a vital factor in her success. I hear endless students tell me how they simply have a great time in class because of the mood and tone that Maayan sets. As I mentioned above, Maayan has worked with us for a significant number of years, and has become a solid anchor in our language program. Maayan's methods of teaching Hebrew are unlike any other learning experience I've ever had. I have been learning Hebrew for most of my life, but until starting classes with Maayan, everything was a "balagan" in my mind. Maayan helped me create an order to the mess and make everything make sense. Nothing has ever clicked so easily before. I was always someone who would end my school years with an unused workbook, never doing homework. But your books are actually fun and made me want to just use them in my free time. Disfruté mucho del curso porque los temas siempre estaban alineados a temas que queríamos hablar y aprender a expresarnos. Fue muy práctico y es increíble darte cuenta, casi de un momento a otro, que estás entendiendo y que estás pudiendo hablar un idioma que, a simple vista, parece tan difícil. Muy adecuados a charlas cotidianas y noticias de la actualidad sin dejar de ser divertidos y poéticos. Me encantaría tener más historias, siempre :) Paula
